Historic Prime Osborne Convention Center Reroofing
Jacksonville, Florida
Completed 2002
Budget: $1,200,000
Following a thorough evaluation and study of the building envelope, the historic limestone structure was cleaned, joints sealed, and exterior stone treated with water repellent. Water repellents are not typically applied to historic structures, but MLD was able to persuade the National Park Service to allow it on this project as a test case. The steep slope roof and low slope roof areas were completely reroofed. The steel windows were reglazed and repainted. Manausa Lewis and Dodson provided full time observation through the entire scope of the project.
